June 2012

Brax took 10 steps!

Brant is starting to stand more and has taken one step.

Elias: "Mom, you know how you say I can turn anything into a gun? Well, when I grow up I want to work at a gun shop and make guns for police officers.  Do you know any gun shops?"

Twins are 11 months!

June 8 - Brant graduated from his helmet!  When he started, he had a 15 mm difference.  Now it is a 3mm difference.  Treatment stops when the difference is less than 5.  Now what to do with that helmet!

Elias was pulling the babies in the hamper and they loved it.  In fact, they refused to get out!

"Yesaww"  A term Elias invented.  It's used when you get excited because you think something amazing is going to happen, and then it doesn't.  For example, if you think you're about to score a goal, and then you hit the post instead.

This kid really likes books...and making messes.

6/13/12  Today we went to the fan day at Lucas Oil.  Going into the stadium, Elias says, "I'm so excited I could explode into joy!"

I laid Brant down in his swing in the playroom with a bottle for nap.  Brax was hanging out with me in the living room, not quite ready for bed.  A few minutes later, I heard Brant crying.  I figured Brax had gone into the playroom and was playing with toys while Brant was strapped into the swing.  However, once, I got in there, I saw that Brax had climbed into the swing with Brant and stole his bottle.  Instead of saving my poor child, I ran and got the camera, took video and a picture.

No worries. I eventually came to Brant's rescue.

Elias has been in soccer camp all week.  He has loved it and has played really well.  He is in the age group just below where he should probably be, but Ryan is in the group with him, so I don't think he minds.

Elias: "Do I have moosebumps?"

Brant took 4 steps!

Father's Day!  We invited over all of our fathers, cooked out, and opened gifts.

There is just something amazing about sitting in a bucket.  I don't get it.

So I went in to check on the babies before bed, like I always do, and this is what I find...

apparently, he was tired of his diaper.

The babies have recently discovered the piano, and they are obsessed! They play it several times a day.  Brax is especially drawn to it.  It's very cute.  Brant tends to pound on it, but Brax will push the keys lightly.  He even uses just his thumbs to play.

Brax is walking!  All of my pushing down did not stop him.
